Our first sporting event was successfully held on 25th September. The spectator stands resonated with slogans from the four houses. At the swimming gala, the competitors exhibited their sportsmanship and were supported by the constant cheering of their house members.
Unlike previous years, the number of competitors exceeded a hundred and this could have been a by-effect of the success of the Beijing Olympics. To further motivate students to take part, the school awarded the winners with a Beijing Olympics mascot, in addition to just medals.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Ms Anne Anita Chueng, the chairlady of the schoolˇ¦s Alumnae Association. The competition ended with five new records set and House of Joy capturing the overall championship. Once again, for the second time in row, House of Praise won the cheering team competition. |
